La Quinta Resort and Club
Room Rates: $250.00 single/double (plus tax)
All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit. Deposits will be refundable only if canceled seven days prior to arrival date. A daily resort service fee of $12.00 per room per day will be charged. This fee includes bell staff, daily newspaper delivery, daily in-room coffee, access to the resort's weight room and fitness center, complimentary local 800 service and credit card access telephone calls. La Quinta Dunes Golf Course The MSCI shotgun scramble golf tournament will be played on the La Quinta Dunes Golf Course. The Pete Dye designed Dunes Course provides a relaxing round of golf surrounded by dramatic landscapes. Out of the traditional Scottish mold, this links style course favors accuracy from the tee allowing access to its well-guarded greens. The Dunes Course is ranked among Golf Digest's "Top 75 Resort Courses" in America, and was the site of the 1998 PGA TOUR Qualifying School. Golf rates: $210.00 (includes green fees and lunch) Airline & Rental Car Information MSCI has negotiated special discount rates with two airlines for the 2005 Carbon Products Division Conference. Discounts include up to 5-10% off applicable zone fares (if reserved a minimum of 30 days in advance), as well as additional discounts dependent upon various factors. For American, call the American Airlines Meeting Desk at 1-800-433-1790 and refer to AN# 8025AO. For United Airlines, call the Meeting Plus Reservation Center at 1-800-521-4041 (8:00 am -10:00 pm) and refer to Meeting I.D. Code 538JW. Avis Rent-a-Car is also offering reduced rates for all MSCI meetings. Reservations may be made directly from the MSCI website. Simply click on MSCI Avis Website from the registration area and you will be taken to a special MSCI welcome page giving you step by step instructions for your reservation. You may also make reservations by calling Avis at 1-800-331-1600 and refer to AWD# B766631. Meeting Notes Spouse and guests are not included in any group activities; nor will there be any entertainment by associate members. Conference attire is business casual. This includes khaki slacks and polo type shirts for the men; slacks, skirts, polo-type shirts or blouses and sweaters for the women. For the receptions and dinners, a sport coat is recommended but not required. Cancellation Policy A full refund will be issued for cancellations received in writing by MSCI by 5:00 pm CST, Friday, January 21, 2005. Cancellations received in writing by 5:00 pm CST, Friday, February 11, 2005 will receive a refund of 50% of all fees paid. No shows and cancellations received after 5:00 pm CST, Friday, February 11, 2005 will not be eligible for refunds. Substitutions made in writing are accepted at any time. Written cancellations or substitutions will be accepted by the MSCI Membership Services Department by fax, express delivery, mail, or email. Final Program Paid registrations must be received no later than 5:00 pm CST, Monday, February 7, 2005 to be included in the final program.
