Sawgrass Marriott is approximately 40 minutes from the Jacksonville Airport. The Sawgrass Marriott Resort and Beach Club is located on Florida’s Atlantic Coast. This resort is just 18 miles from downtown Jacksonville and 22 miles from historic St. Augustine. Airline & Rental Car Information 

MSCI has negotiated special discount rates with two airlines for the 2006 Specialty Metals Division Conference.  Discounts include up to 5-10% off applicable zone fares (if reserved a minimum of 30 days in advance), as well as additional discounts dependent upon various factors.  For American Airlines, call AA Meeting Services at 1-800-433-1790 and refer to AN# 0636AT.  For United Airlines, call the Meeting Plus Reservation Center at 1-800-521-4041 (8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.) and refer to Meeting I.D. Code 530RR.

 

Avis Rent-a-Car is also offering reduced rates for all MSCI meetings.  Reservations may be made by calling Avis at 1-800-331-1600 and refer to AWD# B766631.

 

 

Cancellation Policy 

A full refund will be issued for cancellations received in writing by MSCI by 5:00 p.m. CST, Friday, February 17, 2006. Cancellations received in writing before 5:00 p.m. CST, Friday, March 3, 2006 will receive a refund of 50% of all fees paid. After that date, no shows and cancellations will not be eligible for refunds. Substitutions made in writing accepted at any time. Written cancellations or substitutions will be accepted by the MSCI Membership Services Department by fax, express delivery, mail, or email.

 

 

Final Program 

Paid registrations must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. CST, Wednesday, March 1, 2006 to be included in the final program.

 

 

Meeting Notes 

Spouse and guests are not included in any group activities; nor will there be any entertainment by associate members. Conference attire is business casual. This includes khaki slacks and polo type shirts for the men; slacks, skirts, polo-type shirts or blouses and sweaters for the women. For the receptions and dinners, a sport coat is recommended but not required.

 

 

Entertainment Policy 

Entertainment and/or company meetings should never be scheduled at the same time as official MSCI business or a social event.  This includes breakfast sessions, business sessions, and evening group functions.  MSCI recommends that company entertainment be planned prior to the opening or following the conclusion of the conference.  Those companies wishing to plan any entertainment are asked to advise MSCI.  Staff can recommend local companies to assist your planning.

 

 

Target Audience

This conference is intended for executives and policy-makers of service centers, mills and processors that handle specialty metals such as stainless steel, tool steel and nickel.  Attendance is generally restricted to MSCI members only.  Non-member attendance is subject to Specialty Metals Division Council approval; additional fees may apply.
