Add A Bookmark: NAM Launches Website On EPA Ozone Regulation

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) has estimated the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) pending ozone rule that was published in the Federal Register last week will be the costliest regulation in U.S. history. (Additionally, according to the American Action Forum, more than 100 national and state parks may even fail to live up to the standards set out in this pending rule – and therefore be severely impacted by it.)

To help explain the economic impact of this rule, NAM has launched a new blog dedicated to educating Americans about it. Connecting the Dots encourages its readers to bookmark this site, which also includes state-by-state analyses, and to check it frequently for updates. The website includes a link to another page that allows interested parties to contact their members of Congress asking them to oppose this rule.

One member who is already convinced: incoming Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) who told the media last week that EPA regulations like the ozone rule have created an economic “depression” in his home state of Kentucky and that, as such, he will do everything he can as Senate leader to oppose EPA regulatory overreach.
