  • Chinese exports fell by 8.3 percent between June and July while imports declined by 8.1 percent. Despite the overall decline in exports, exports of steel continued to climb. According to Bloomberg, Chinese steel exports surged 9.5 percent in July to their highest level in six months.
  • According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, auto sales in China fell seven percent between July 2014 and July 2015. Auto production was down 11 percent year-over-year.
