Global Economic Analysis and News of Note: Chinese Aluminum Production Falls
- According to American Metal Market (subscription required) aluminum production in China fell 2.3 percent between September 2017 and October 2017 and 7.5 percent between October 2016 and October 2017. While it was the fourth month in a row that production declined, production for the first 10 months of 2017 is still 3.7 percent ahead of production for the same period in 2016. Exports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products fell 5.4 percent from September to October.
