International Trade Commission Will Move Forward With Hot-Rolled Steel Investigation

Last Thursday the U.S. Commerce International Trade Commission (ITC) voted unanimously to investigate whether Australia, Brazil, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Turkey and the United Kingdom have sold imports of certain hot-rolled steel flat products at less than fair value in the United States.

The ITC will also continue to investigate whether Brazil, South Korea and Turkey unfairly subsidized these products.

The ITC said it would release preliminary countervailing duty determinations on or about Nov. 4, 2015 and its preliminary antidumping duty determinations on or about Jan. 18, 2016.
