July 15: Join MSCI For A Briefing On National Labor Relations Board Changes To Labor And Human Resources Policy
The general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) recently issued a memorandum intended to provide clarity about the NLRB’s sweeping enforcement initiative against workplace policies that are deemed to be overbroad and infringing on workers’ protected rights. The general counsel’s memorandum offers guidance on maintaining employee handbooks and workplace policies that the NLRB would likely deem compliant with federal labor laws. This guidance is important for all employers, but particularly for non-union employers whose policies have never been exposed to the collective bargaining process.
To help its members keep up with these new policies, on July 15 at 11 a.m. CT MSCI will offer a webinar briefing with labor and employment partners from the law firm Winston and Strawn. During the webinar, MSCI members will hear about the legality of various types of workplace policies and rules that are frequently challenged in NLRB litigation, including: confidential information; employee conduct toward supervisors, fellow employees and/or third parties; trademarks; photography and recording in the workplace; restrictions on employees leaving work; and conflicts-of-interest.
Representatives from Winston and Strawn will also discuss the NLRB general counsel’s guidance on best practices in drafting and maintaining these types of policies. Click here to register for this free webinar.
