Last Call For MSCI’s Annual Meeting!

If you’re not registered for the Metals Service Center Institute’s (MSCI) annual meeting, scheduled for May 7-8 in Miami, Fla., you should be. Economist Douglas Holtz-Eakin, who was former director of the Congressional Budget Office and is current president of the American Action Forum Policy Institute, will attend the meeting to evaluate where certain economic policy measures are politically in the Trump administration. Holtz-Eakin, who meets with House and Senate members daily to discuss the country’s most pressing economic concerns, will discuss the status of issues like healthcare, energy, tax reform, tax cuts, and more.

Mike Steep, senior vice president of global business operations at PARC, a Xerox company, also will be a featured speaker. Steep will discuss the five major disruptive forces at work in today’s global business environment.

The annual meeting also will feature Nucor Chairman and CEO John J. Ferriola; O’Neal Industries President and COO Holman Head; Reliance Steel & Aluminum President and CEO Gregg Mollins; Ryerson President and CEO Edward J. Lehner; and SSAB Americas President Charles W. Schmitt for a panel discussion that will answer questions like, How does a leader cultivate a culture of innovation? And, when faced with uncertainty, how does one manage morale and cast vision?

Rounding out the program is Honorable Chuck Hagel, the 24th U.S. Secretary of Defense and former U.S. senator, who will headline the annual meeting, joining MSCI President and CEO M. Robert Weidner for a fireside chat. Weidner and Hagel will engage in a hard-hitting examination of the current state of our nation and what can guide America back onto the right path during this fireside chat.
