MSCI Signs Coalition Letter Supporting Nomination Of Andrew Puzder To Be U.S. Labor Secretary
With its partners at the Coalition for the Democratic Workplace and the International Franchise Association, the Metals Services Center Institute (MSCI) has signed a letter supporting President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination of Andrew Puzder to be U.S. Labor Secretary. Puzder is currently president and CEO of CKE Restaurants.
MSCI believes Puzder is an exceptional choice to lead the Labor Department, and applauds President-elect Trump for recognizing Puzder’s business experience and policy acumen on so many issues impacting employers and employees in today’s economy. The letter says, “Voters elected a job creator as President, and so it is only fitting that the Labor Department, the agency responsible for ensuring the nation’s labor policy is properly balanced, should be led by someone with a proven record of accomplishment for creating jobs, growing a business, and opening a pathway for people to create a successful career and even business ownership through the franchise model.” The full letter of support can be found here.
The U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions will begin consideration of Puzder’s nomination on Thursday, January 12.
