Nucor’s John Ferriola Will Be A Keynote Speaker At MSCI’s Annual Meeting

Registration for the Metals Service Center Institute’s (MSCI) annual meeting, set for May 6-8, 2018 in Atlanta, is open. This meeting will gather an unprecedented number of senior steel executives for an unbeatable peer-to-peer networking experience.

John Ferriola, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Nucor Corporation, will serve as a keynote speaker. Ferriola will discuss Nucor’s commercial strategy and how Nucor views the role of service centers. In addition to Ferriola’s remarks, here are some of the other things that MSCI members won’t want to miss:

  • Senior executives from major U.S. mills, including Robert Miller, Mark Millet, Kirk Reich, Chuck Schmitt, and Barry Zekelman, also will discuss the role of service centers in their companies’ commercial strategies.
  • Caterpillar’s Regional Chief Economist Laura Speake will offer a forecast for 2018 and beyond and share her perspective as one of the industry’s largest steel consuming customers.
  • Klöckner Metals CEO Gisbert Rühl will share how he ultimately changed Klöckner’s supply chain, made the organization more efficient, and embraced digital disruption.
