Show Me, Don’t Tell Me

Industry executives talk about what it means to “act like a leader”

There’s a difference between knowing about leadership in theory and acting like a leader when it counts. The Army’s belief is when you combine character with knowledge and action, you unleash the “whole” leader every organization needs.

With a proven record of training the United States Army’s leaders for more than 200 years, West Point is the ideal location for MSCI’s new metals industry executive leadership education program.

The Thayer Leadership Development Group (TLDG) at West Point, N.Y., is MSCI’s newest executive education partner. At TLDG, lessons and concepts from the classroom are further developed during field exercises, teaching leaders to have character; reinforce strategy, communication and trust; and manage high performance teams.

We asked past participants in the program about their experience and what key learnings they took away from the experience.

The Thayer Leadership Development Group and MSCI is now offering courses for all MSCI membership. Learn more here.

For more information about MSCI’s offerings in conjunction with TLDG or Strategic Metals Management, contact Chris Marti.
