[11:30 AM] Introduction by Plant Manager

[11:30 AM – 12:30 PM] Working Lunch (Lunch will be provided)

[12:30 PM – 1:00 PM] Safety Talk & Pass Out PPE

[1:00 PM – 3:00 PM] Mill Tour

[3:00 PM – 3:30 PM] Q&A and Closing Remarks

[3:30 PM] Depart Mill for Fort Worth

[6:00 PM] Dinner at Riscky’s BBQ (Fort Worth)

 

Travel to Midlothian:

You are responsible for your travel arrangements to/from Midlothian, Texas.

Both DFW and Dallas Love Field airports are approximately 30-40 minutes from the mill.

Please plan to arrive on Thursday by 11:00 am.

Departing Midlothian:

The mill tour will finish at 3:30 pm (CST) on Thursday afternoon, and then we will head to Fort Worth. Please plan your departure accordingly.

Hotel:

We have arranged a room block in the Stockyards for those wishing to stay in Fort Worth after dinner. Please click on the link below to book a special MSCI rate of $189 for March 26. The last day to book at this rate is March 6.

Dress Code Information:

Jeans/Pants & Closed-toed shoes required. (see below for more details)

PPE will be provided to you at the mill prior to tour.

Business Casual (Jeans are okay!)

Mill Tour:

Steel mills have a fair amount of dust, so please dress accordingly knowing that you may be in contact with these conditions.

WEAR FULL LENGTH PANTS. No shorts and no exposed ankles.

NO OPEN-TOED SHOES PERMITTED. If you have steel-toe boots please wear them. If not, sturdy closed-toe shoes are allowed. (Sneakers are allowed but not recommended. No high heels.)

For safety purposes jewelry (rings, earrings, and necklaces) are not allowed in the mill. Please let us know in advance in case you need to wear a Medical Alert Bracelet, so we can notify our Safety expert.

For those with pacemakers, please be aware that magnetic cranes are used throughout the facility. Please bring to our attention any other medical concerns so we can try to accommodate.

You will be provided hearing protection, eye protection, hard hats, and FR jackets for use during the tour of the mill.

No photos or video recording will be permitted during mill tour. If you would like a photo, please ask a Gerdau employee.
