Global Crude Steel Output Declined In October
- Last week, FastmarketsAMM (subscription required) reported global crude steel production fell 2.8 percent from October 2018 to October 2019 to 151.49 million tons. Production fell in most major steel-producing countries, including Brazil (-19.4 percent), Canada (-2.0 percent), China (-0.6 percent), Germany (-6.8 percent), India (-3.4 percent), Japan (-4.9 percent), South Korea (-3.5 percent), Ukraine (-12.7 percent), and the United States (-2.0 percent).
