Global Economic And Trade News: China Exports Robust
- China’s steel exports during the first two months of 2021 rose by 29.8 percent from the same period in 2020. Imports were up by 17.2 percent from a year earlier. Click here to read more.
- The Chinese government announced last week that its exports surged by 60.6 percent in the first two months of 2021 compared to the same period a year earlier as damage from the coronavirus pandemic faded. China’s exports expanded to $468.9 billion, nearly twice the growth forecasters had expected. Exports to the United States rose 87.3 percent while imports increased 22.2 percent. - According to BBC News, goods exports from the United Kingdom (UK) to the European Union fell 40.7 percent in January while imports fell 28.8 percent.
