Join The Fight For Infrastructure Investment In September

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) will lead an effort next month, September 14-21, 2020, to raise awareness about America’s crumbling infrastructure system and the need to invest in our roads, railways, pipelines, ports and more.

Called United for Infrastructure 2020, the week will involve virtual-only events that include online panel discussions and a presidential candidate forum. Organizers are adding more events to the calendar every day, and organizations of all sizes are encouraged to join the effort. Companies and individuals can participate in the week by registering here and connecting with the National Association of Manufacturers about their specific interest.

As a reminder, the Metals Service Center Institute has been working with NAM to make the argument for more federal infrastructure spending. In July, MSCI joined 118 manufacturing organizations to call on congressional leaders to pass a long-term surface transportation bill. The letter noted the need for historic investment in infrastructure to address the nation’s longstanding needs and highlighted for members of Congress how manufacturers ongoing COVID-19 response efforts depend on our nation’s infrastructure system.
