MSCI Has A Full Slate Of Virtual Events Coming Up

While the coronavirus pandemic has kept industrial metals industry colleagues from meeting in person, the Metals Service Center Institute is working to develop engaging, online contents for its members. These events are all online and can be accessed by members no matter where they are in the world.

Upcoming events include:

  • October 13, 2020, 11 a.m. CT, Election 2020 Webinar: Panel discussion with experienced political analysts Donna Brazile and David Urban on issues and possible outcomes related to the upcoming U.S. elections, both presidential and congressional. This webinar is about the governing issues around who wins and who loses, but from a metals industry perspective. This event is free for MSCI members. Click here to learn more and register.
  • October 20, 2020, 2 p.m. CT, CEO Huddle: MSCI President and CEO Bob Weidner will welcome Rick Marabito, Chief Executive Officer of Olympic Steel, and Chuck Schmitt, president of SSAB Americas, for thought-provoking conversation offering their personal perspective on industry topics that include the economy, leadership, COVID-19, workplace issues, and more. The CEO Huddle is a monthly dialogue with industry leaders that allows every member companies’ associates (regardless of title, functional responsibilities, or time in the metals industry) the opportunity to hear perspective on industry issues “in the moment.” Every person in the metals industry needs to hear from industry leaders – and all are welcome to join this event.   • November 5, 2020, 3 p.m. CT, Regional Forum Webinar: Metals industry leaders in the Southeastern United States will discuss today’s most impactful issues. Held in conjunction with MSCI’s Florida, Gulf Region, MidSouth, and South Atlantic Chapters and moderated by MSCI president and CEO Bob Weidner, panelists will include: Joe Baucom, Southeast Regional Vice President, Chicago Tube & Iron Company; Norm Browning, Vice President of Business Development, O’Neal Industries; Jason Goldin, President, Goldin Metals, Inc.; and Eric L. McGill, Gulf Coast/Atlanta Multi-Market General Manager, Ryerson.
