Navistar Aftersales President To Join MSCI Economic Summit

The Metals Service Center Institute will hold its 2019 Economic Summit Sept. 4-5 outside of Chicago, Ill. and from now until Aug. 1 individuals who register will get $400 off their conference fee.

Friedrich Baumann, president of Aftersales and Alliance Management at Navistar International Corporation will be joining this year’s summit on Wednesday, September 4. As a large consumer of metal, Navistar is an important manufacturing customer and, Navistar’s trucks are important in moving metal to our industry customers.

During his presentation, Baumann will address Navistar’s view of the world, the disruptive forces they deal with and customer expectations.  Baumann was named president of Aftersales, a new role at the company, in March 2019. Additionally, Baumann will continue to be Navistar’s TRATON alliance liaison. The new Aftersales business will manage every facet of the business after the sale of the truck, including oversight of parts and service, Uptime, warranty and dealer development. Aftersales continues to be a critical aspect of the value chain for Navistar.
