REMINDER: Resources To Track Local, State, Provincial COVID Restrictions

COVID-19 cases are rising across the United States and Canada, which means local governments are enacting new policies to stop the spread of the pandemic.

As a reminder, several organizations are providing up-to-the minute information on local COVID-19 restrictions and policies. These include:

  • McCarthy Tetrault, which is closely monitoring updates from governments across Canada and is providing a summary of the recovery and re-opening measures that have been announced to date in each jurisdiction.
  • The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which has a State-by-State Business Reopening Map that is up to date with the latest guidelines, timelines, and other critical information for businesses looking to stay open safely amid the pandemic.
  • The National Association of Manufacturers also has created a map that outlines state orders, including state mask mandates.
  • Multistate, which has created a COVID-19 State and Local Policy Dashboard that provides a quick and easy reference to updates and information issued by state and key local agencies and policymakers and that is updated daily.

Additionally, the Urban Institute is tracking the economic and budget outlook for each U.S. state, along with the number of coronavirus cases in each jurisdiction and the restrictions that states have imposed to help stop the spread of the virus. Click here to find the report for your state.

The Urban Institute also is tracking state spending per-capita on COVID-19 related relief programs. Click here to read that analysis.
