Steel and Aluminum Shipments Increase Across U.S. and Canada
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill
MSCI Metals Activity for June 2026 shows year-over-year increases in service center shipments across both steel and aluminum in the U.S. and Canada. U.S. steel shipments increased 13.2% from June 2025, while aluminum shipments increased 7.0%. In Canada, steel shipments increased 15.9%, and aluminum shipments increased 22.2% from the same month in 2025. The results reflect shipment increases across all reported product categories and regions for the month.
U.S. Service Center Activity
U.S. service center steel shipments in June 2026 were +13.2% from June 2025. Shipments of aluminum products were +7.0% from the same month in 2025.
Canadian Service Center Activity
Canadian service center steel shipments in June 2026 were +15.9% from June 2025. Shipments of aluminum products were +22.2% from the same month in 2025.
