Steel Shipments Increase in February while Aluminum is Mixed
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill
MSCI Metals activity report for the month of February, 2023 shows US and Canadian Steel shipments increasing from year-ago levels.
U.S. Service Center Activity
U.S. service center steel shipments in January, 2023 increased by 9.9% from February, 2022. Shipments of aluminum products decreased by 4.3% from the same month in 2022.
Canadian Service Center Activity
Canadian service center steel shipments in January, 2023 increased by 1.5% from February 2022. Shipments of aluminum products increased by 1.2% from the same month in 2022.
