Canada, Mexico Issue Guidance On Essential Business Designations
While no changes have been made to the U.S. government’s guidance on essential personnel since March 28, the Mexican government last week released a new decree that defines a narrow set of industries and activities as essential in Mexico. An unofficial English translation is available here.
The Canadian federal government also has issued a nonbinding guidance with a list of services and functions across 10 critical infrastructure sectors, and a number of Canadian provinces have released their own essential critical infrastructure guidance. The National Association of Manufacturers is tracking actions in Mexico and Canada here.
