MSCI Michigan Chapter 2022 Scholarship Program
The MSCI Michigan Chapter will be awarding at least eight (8) $2,000 Educational scholarships to children of MSCI chapter employees who have been accepted by and/or currently attending or returning a college or university and two (2) Trade School/Vocational scholarships (post high school). Applicants must fill in the application online at http://scholarships.msci.org/, get a recommendation from a high school instructor or college professor, and meet the required minimum GPA of 2.5 on a scale of 4.0.
We need your help! Please help us let all your employees know that these scholarships are available through your membership with the MSCI and also inform your Human Resources department of this great program. Unfortunately, often times we find that students who are not enrolled in a 4-year college program do not know that they can also apply. Scholarships to technical schools or skilled trade programs have a direct correlation to enhancing the skilled workforce of our industry and our member companies. However, to award these scholarships to these students we need to receive applications. The best way to make your employees and their families aware of this great opportunity is your personal communication.
Applicants must have been accepted by and/or currently attending a college, university, or community college for the Educational scholarship or trade/vocational school for the Trade School/Vocational Scholarship for the 2022-2023 academic year. In addition, you must have a parent employed at a member company that is a member in good standing of not only MSCI National, but the local chapter as well. If you are a past recipient, you may apply again.
Multiple criteria are evaluated in making the selections, including GPA, extracurricular activities, work experience (past and/or planned part time while attending school), demonstrated leadership, quality of recommendation and quality of written application.
To assist you in getting the word out, we have linked the MSCI Scholarship Posters for four year Universities and two year Community College and Trade School. Please print, post and distribute throughout your company. In addition to distributing the posters, please conduct meetings with your people to let them know that this benefit is available not only to university students, but also to students enrolled in skilled trade or technical schools.
