Chinese Steel Output Rises At Beginning Of Year

 

  • According to Fastmarkets AMM (subscription required), crude steel and finished steel output in China “increased significantly during the first two months of 2019 thanks to healthy profit margins, lighter restrictions on production and good demand.” Crude steel output in the first two months of 2019 was 9.2 percent higher than during the same period in 2018. Finished steel production was up 10.7 percent.
