EEOC Delays Some Data Collection Requirements Until May 2021

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has announced that, due to COVID-19, employers will not be required to submit EEO-1 Component 1 data until March 2021. The EEOC has said it will notify businesses of a specific date when it becomes available. Click here to read the EEOC’s announcement.

Additionally, the EEOC has outlined the responsibilities that businesses must maintain during the pandemic here.

It is important to understand that the EEOC’s materials only address COVID-19 as it impacts the anti-discrimination laws enforced by the EEOC. If companies have questions about wage and hour issues, the Occupational Health and Safety Administration, unemployment compensation, the new Families First Coronavirus Response Act, or other labor enforcement-related issues, please see information on the U.S. Department of Labor website.
