Global Crude Steel Output Increased In February Due To Rise In Asian Production
- According to Fastmarkets AMM (subscription required), global crude steel output increased 4.1 percent from February 2018 to February 2019 to 137.27 million tons. Output in Asian markets rose 6.8 percent to 96.5 million tons of crude steel. (Chinese output was up 9.2 percent.) Output in the United States was up 4.6 percent year-over-year while it fell five percent in European Union countries.
