Join MSCI’s Virtual Events!

While the coronavirus pandemic has kept industrial metals industry colleagues from meeting in person, the Metals Service Center Institute is working to develop engaging, online contents for its members. These events are all online and can be accessed by members no matter where they are in the world.

Upcoming events include:

  • October 8, 2020, 1 p.m. CT, Executive Education Webinar Series: Free webinar featuring Peter Boumgarden, Professor of Practice, Strategy and Organization from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. Whether it’s how a global pandemic radically disrupts our current business model or the nature of how we get work done, the current volume of change facing firms and leaders can be paralyzing. Given this new cadence of change, it’s increasingly important that both individuals and firms develop skills to help them adapt with agility. In this webinar, we’ll walk through a framework for how to think about agility and discernment during change and answer your questions about how this applies to your current businesses. Registration for the webinar is here.
  • November 5, 2020, 3 p.m. CT, Regional Forum Webinar: Metals industry leaders in the Southeastern United States will discuss today’s most impactful issues. Held in conjunction with MSCI’s Florida, Gulf Region, MidSouth, and South Atlantic Chapters and moderated by MSCI president and CEO Bob Weidner, panelists will include: Joe Baucom, Southeast Regional Vice President, Chicago Tube & Iron Company; Norm Browning, Vice President of Business Development, O’Neal Industries; Jason Goldin, President, Goldin Metals, Inc.; and Eric L. McGill, Gulf Coast/Atlanta Multi-Market General Manager, Ryerson. This event is open to MSCI members only, and while this is a free event, please consider making a donation to your chapter’s scholarship program through MSCI’s donation portal.
