Mexican Government Imposes Duties On Chinese Aluminum Foil
According to Reuters, the Mexican government will impose countervailing duties on aluminum foil imports from China after an anti-dumping investigation. Duties would be imposed on aluminum foil exported to Mexico at prices below $3.4817 per kilogram, and will be “capped in accordance with the export prices of the companies in question.”
The tariffs went into effect on Friday, December 27, 2019. The decision is the result of an anti-dumping investigation that the country initiated in August 2018.
