U.S., Canadian Guidance On COVID-19 Workplace Safety Measures

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued new guidance that outlines measures that are recommended to protect employees and prepare small businesses for disruption during the COVID-19 pandemics. Additionally, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has created a summary document that distills U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance for employers about how to protect workers as they maintain or resume operations amid COVID-19 while former FDA commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb and former FDA deputy commissioner Dr. Stephen Ostroff offer best practices for keeping employees healthy on the job in The Wall Street Journal.

The Canadian government, meanwhile, outlines its risk-informed decision-making guidelines for workplaces and businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic at this website. All of the Canadian government’s health and safety guidance, along with information about its financial and economic support programs is here.
