Last Chance To Apply For MSCI’s Annual Safety Awards

MSCI is still accepting applications for its annual Safety Innovation and Culture Improvement Awards, but the deadline is coming up soon. Applications must be received by July 15, 2024 for a company to be considered.

Why are these awards so important? Because safety starts with the culture of an organization and is an ongoing journey that never ends. It takes perseverance, employee buy-in from the top down and bottom up, as well as continuous improvement from the entire organization to ensure that every metals industry employee arrives home from work exactly as they left. The MSCI Safety Innovation and Culture Improvement Awards recognize metals organizations that seek innovative approaches in their efforts to drive safety improvement towards a zero-harm environment.

Here is information for each award:

  • Safety Innovation Award. Across the industry, the best and brightest are trying to determine how to make each process or work practice safer. Has your workplace developed a best practice? How about a new gadget that keeps employees out of harm’s way? Or maybe you have implemented a tool, process, or device that has dramatically reduced occupational risk or exposure. We want to hear about it. Entries to this award can be from management, supervisory, or front-line workers.
  • Culture Improvement Award. Changing culture is an easy promise to make, but a difficult one to accomplish. It takes hard work, dedication, and a consistent commitment over the long haul. Have you had success with changing your culture? Maybe you have implemented a new initiative that has reenergized team engagement. Or have you participated in something extraordinary to educate your team and can now demonstrate results? Tell us.

Once again, the application deadline is July 15, 2024. Find out more information about these awards and how to apply by visiting the safety page on MSCI’s website.
